Trojan™ Cast Boosters 150g
|
The 150g booster is yellow in colour and is designed for use in small blast holes up to 150mm in diameter, typically found in underground, quarry and coal operations. The size and shape of the 150g booster ensures that any Primadet® detonator or equivalent used with the product is fully encapsulated. Detonating cord can also be facilitated as an initiator. Trojan™ cast boosters deliver the driving force required for generating maximum initiating energy and blasting efficiency. They provide reliability, safety and durability for all underground mining, opencast mining and quarry applications. By combining high detonation velocity (7500m/s) with high density (1.6g/cm3), Trojan™ cast boosters optimise detonation pressure (225kbar*) and consistently out perform any other type of commercial boosters. *Pressure = 2.5 x Density x (Velocity)2 x 10.

The C-400 booster (400g) is red in colour and conical to provide an effective and cost efficient means of initiation in large diameter holes exceeding 150mm in diameter. Trojan™ Cast Boosters C-800
|
The C-800 booster (800g) is orange in colour and is designed to be used in the deeper blast holes (25m and more) to maximise the booster diameter to hole diameter ratio and increase the subsequent “bore-hole pressure”. As with the C-400, once in the blast hole, the inverted cone design maximises the surface contact area between the booster and explosive column above it. The 15g Stinger is white in colour and is used in small diameter holes (45mm or less) as found in underground mining applications.
